Psychiatric Treatment Residence

For children who could benefit from more intensive, shorter-term residential treatment, Youthdale operates an eight-bed community-based program under the direction of a child psychiatrist.

Children generally stay at the Psychiatric Treatment Residence for six to nine months, attending school and summer camp along with children from our other treatment residences. After their stay, children may be referred to Youthdale's day treatment or longer-term residential treatment.

The Psychiatric Treatment Residence is available on a per diem basis to Children's Aid Societies across Ontario.
