Rural Treatment combines traditional residential treatment with an outdoor learning experience and an on-site school.

Youthdale’s Rural Treatment program facility is set on a scenic wooded property with a large private lake near Magnetawan, Ontario, approximately 400 km north of Toronto. Residents attend a school program with a hands-on approach, provided in partnership with the Near North District School Board.

This facility is available to children from the Toronto area and Children's Aid Societies across Ontario, particularly northern communities.

The Rural Treatment program serves youth 12 to 18 who have experienced chronic difficulties living in the community, and who could benefit from a more isolated setting. The Rural Treatment program is available on a per diem basis to all Children's Aid Societies.

Participants attend Youthdale's summer camp along with the residents of our city treatment programs.
