Court-Ordered Secure Treatment

We have introduced court-ordered admissions into Youthdale's secure treatment program as of October 30th, 2023, a new pathway to the Acute Support Unit that reflects our dedication to continuous improvement and our unwavering pursuit of excellence in serving young people.

Through a court-ordered admission, a judge will order a young person to our Acute Support Unit (ASU) program for a specific length of time, typically between 3-6 months. This is a significant shift from emergency orders, which have a treatment term cap of 30 days.

With court-ordered admissions, our ASU team will have a unique opportunity to provide comprehensive assessment, stabilization, and a lengthier period for treatment. This extended timeframe will have a significant impact on the outcomes we can achieve, allowing us to delve deeper into therapeutic interventions and support for the young individuals entrusted to our care.
